From Heaven To You (A Baby's Perspective)
by Koye Lott

Where am I?
I am surrounded by water.
I remember God's voice,
Saying I love you my daughter.

Angels placed me gently,
Inside a ball of light.
As heaven floated away,
Further and further from sight.

Now in water I lay,
Darkness all I see.
Yet the woman's voice I hear,
Makes joy surround me.

I think I live inside her.
Everyday I'm growing strong.
I heard her say a while ago,
Honey, it won't be long.

But what won't be long?
Why can't I get to see?
Then I remember I'm her baby,
And she's talking about me.

Surrounded By Loneliness
by Koye Lott

Some people are so nice to others,
That they often forget how to be nice to themselves.
Day by day putting folks upon pedestals,
Night by night putting themselves upon shelves.
Living vicariously through others feelings,
Yet feeling no tingles, only numbness lays claim.
Hiding behind millions of PCs,
An avatar, a keyboard, and a different screen name.
Pray for these who sit in solitude,
Like a soldier of fortune from wartimes gone by.
And offer them a huge cup of friendly, a hug, a handshake,
Or the wink of an eye.
Snap them out into the world of joy,
Bring them harmony from God lest they should digress.
None of these should live in a cave.
For what is a life surrounded by loneliness?
All of our lives we should know the love,
And blessings rained downed,
From Heaven above.

My Heart
by Koye Lott

Yes
I was alarmed
When I felt you on my chest
Then I realized
You are my heart
Every bit of you
Is related to me
We are an endless tide
In a human sea
For like water
You pour inspiration all over
I am soaked in God's Love
May I share it?
Everything I have
Is partly yours
My sisters
My brothers
You are
Our family outnumbers the stars
We sit at the edge of time
Enjoying endless days
With no darkness in sight
And we dance to an endless rhythm
You are the beat of my heart
